John Wahl

With more than 20 years of SBA lending experience, John joined Live Oak Bank’s acquisition lending team in 2018 as a senior loan officer to help grow this newly formed niche. John currently leads the Western US general lending team which specializes in financing business acquisitions, partner/manager buyouts and buy-ins ranging from $1-$10MM using both SBA and conventional financing facilities. He previously worked at one of the nation’s largest banks, where he helped close 100s of transactions and was consistently one of the top lenders. John and his team assist borrowers, brokers, intermediaries and customers through the financing process and maintain strong relationships with a number of industries groups. John received his Bachelor of Science with an emphasis in Finance from the University of Colorado in Boulder.
