Seth Ruhter

I am a finance professor with deep expertise in private markets. Private markets refer to investments that are not traded on public exchanges, such as private equity, venture capital, real estate, and privately held companies. My research is focused on privately held companies, specifically, valuation, and the market, terms in which private companies are transacted. To remain current in my research and teaching, I am actively engaged as a practitioner in private markets. I specialize in performing valuations in all types of industries, such as food and beverage, service, retail, manufacturing, and distribution/wholesale. In addition, I am deeply involved in facilitating the sale and acquisition of private companies.
