I started my career at Bankers Trust in their retirement services group, where I worked on 401k and pension plans for Fortune 500 companies, including Texas Instruments and IBM. From there, I went back to school to get my law degree. I passed the bar exam, and briefly worked for the IRS office of Chief Counsel, in the Financial Institutions and Products Division, where I provide published guidance, field support, and advice on tax matters involving banks, insurance companies, investment firms, and REITs. Prior to joining Ameris Bank, I spent over a decade in wealth management, working with entrepreneurs and ultra-high net worth families as a private wealth advisor, at Morgan Stanley then later at Merrill Lynch. I am a graduate of Auburn University with a bachelor’s degree in Economics. I also earned a master’s degree in Finance from Georgia State University and graduated Summa Cum Laude from Thurgood Marshall School of Law.
