Barry Berkowitz

Dr. Barry Berkowitz has the practical experience and knowledge to provide business brokerage and M&A services focused on technology, manufacturing, education, and healthcare. He and his team understand and execute the complex processes of selling and buying businesses, and most importantly, know how to manage the human side of transactions. Barry earned his CBI in 2002, and then his M&AMI from the M&A Source. He served on the IBBA Board of Governors (2016-2021) and served as IBBA Chair in 2020. He previously served as the Chair of Education and Chair of the IBBA Affiliates Council. Barry received the prestigious Tom West Award, is a Fellow of the IBBA and a Fellow of the M&A Source. Barry started as a scientist and then as manager of materials engineering at Exxon. He published extensively and holds several patents. Barry earned his B.E.S., M.S. and Ph.D. degrees in Engineering and Materials Sciences from Stony Brook University.
