Richard Chess

Rick Chess provides legal advice on how to “transact, transform, and transition” business. Chess currently also serves as Senior Advisor of Business Transition Services (Richmond, VA) and as Director-Investments for Crescent Securities (Dallas, TX). Areas of experience include tax planning and real estate transactions, including installment sales, 1031 like-kind exchanges, qualified opportunity zones, joint venture structures, and government and governance issues. Rick has previously served as Audit Committee Chair of a NYSE REIT, as a member of Pennsylvania General Assembly, President of Encore Equities, and Director-1031 Transactions for NNN Properties.
