Applications Now Open for the M&A Source Deal Awards

Application Deadline: March 8, 2024

We are excited to recognize our M&A Source Members and deal partners for your deal success in 2023!

Award categories and requirements have been updated this year, so please be sure to read all criteria carefully before applying. Incomplete applications or those that do not contain all requested documentation will not be considered.

Winners will be unveiled at the 2024 Spring Conference & Deal Market in Louisville. Attendance is highly encouraged but not required to be acknowledged with an award.

General Requirements

  • Advisor applicants must be M&A Source members at the time of application. In the instance of advisor firm awards, at least one firm owner must be an M&A Source member.
  • Individual transactions must each have a minimum purchase price of $1 million to qualify.
  • Applicants must provide verifiable documentation in the format requested and attest to the accuracy of the information and documents submitted; the methods of verification will be at the discretion of the Awards Review Task Force.

NOTE: For the purpose of these awards, purchase price is inclusive of any defined earnouts or deferred payments and real estate, so long as the transaction includes the sale of the business (i.e., no transactions that are real estate only are permitted). Please be sure you are calculating the purchase price of your deals accordingly in your submission.

Individual Awards Application

Complete this application to apply for the following awards:

Executive Club
Presented to all deal makers that have completed sell-side or buy-side deals totaling more than $5mm in combined purchase price in the prior calendar year. Multiple parties on a deal team may each submit the same transaction for individual recognition.

Platinum Gold Club
Presented to all deal makers that have completed sell-side or buy-side deals totaling more than $15mm in combined purchase price in the prior calendar year. Multiple parties on a deal team may each submit the same transaction for individual recognition.

Platinum Club
Presented to all deal makers that have completed sell-side or buy-side deals totaling more than $50mm in combined purchase price in the prior calendar year. Multiple parties on a deal team may each submit the same transaction for individual recognition.

Diamond Club
Presented to all deal makers that have completed sell-side or buy-side deals totaling more than $100mm in combined purchase price in the prior calendar year. Multiple parties on a deal team may each submit the same transaction for individual recognition.

M&A Advisor of the Year
This award is bestowed upon the sole practitioner who has the highest combined purchase price of completed deals in the previous calendar year. Individuals who are applying as part of a team for the M&A Top Firm of the Year are excluded from qualifying for the M&A Advisor of the Year.

Top Firm of the Year Application

The M&A Top Firm of the Year award is bestowed upon firms that have the highest total purchase price of completed deals for the previous calendar year. One winner is identified in each of the following firm sizes:

  • 2-4 person
  • 5-9 person
  • 10+ person
Deal Partner Firm of the Year Application

This award is bestowed upon the PE Firm, Family Owned Office or other buyer/investment group that had the most deals completed with M&A Source advisors in the past calendar year. This application is to be completed by the firm (not the advisor). The firm must have attended at least one M&A Source Deal Market in the prior calendar year OR be an M&A Source member to qualify.
